From the Day Zero “instructions:”
3. Welcome Failure. Frequently, very little is learned from a venture that did not experience failure in some form. Failure presents the opportunity to learn and makes the success more worthy.
So, I had my first 101 things list related failure late last week:
62. Take a multi-vitamin every day for a month (0/30)
Taking a daily multi-vitamin is one of the few lifetime post-gastric bypass surgery things I’m supposed to do. I used to be very good about taking them (especially during the week, when I would pack up my travel pill container and take them every morning after breakfast), but have found it easy to fall out of the habit and hard to get back on track (seems to be the story of my life). And, all that you’re told about taking vitamins is true, I feel better, my hair grows quicker and fuller, my nails are stronger, etc., but somehow that’s not enough to keep me in the habit. I figured that committing to take 1 a day for a month would get me back in the habit. I made it 11 days, when, last Friday morning, I woke up with an upset stomach, and decided to wait and take my vitamins when I got home from work, which I remembered on Saturday evening, when I sat down at my dressing table to dust. I’ll restart the counter and try again. As Scarlett O’Hara told us all, “Tomorrow is another day.”
By the way, by all accounts my Thanksgiving dinner last night was a pretty good success. I’ll post about the turkey brining and dinner itself later this week.

Not a pretty good success–a complete success! Thanks again, Gwen. :)
