Thanks, Hope. Much like with my parents, my relationship with my Grandmother is so much better, deeper, whatever -er as an adult than it was even 5 years ago. We all know how lucky we are to have her in our lives.

Family traditions are awesome! I don’t know the rest of your family, but I love how your Grandmother is such a central figure and gets all of the love & respect she deserves.

That was beautifully written. It made me cry. I think that you have described exactly how I feel right now….sad for the change and the women who won’t get to experience it, but grateful that I could have the experience with such a fantastic group of friends who I wouldn’t trade for anything.
